?Why do we need to read books

The American novelist Henry Miller states, “Books are not only friends, but they make friends too.” A book is the first and best teacher of human beings, and it is very useful. There is a big difference between people who read books and those who do not. Reading books helps us in life and makes it easier and more meaningful.
There are many reasons why reading books is significant;
1- Books make people happy and help them get rid of tiredness and boredom. Reading also encourages positive thinking and keeps the mind active, so readers rarely feel bored.
2- Books are a great source of knowledge. People who read books learn more and often succeed in their lives. They gain confidence in themselves and are better prepared to face challenges. As a result, they are more likely to achieve their goals.
3- A book is one of the most valuable and meaningful gifts. It is like food, water and oxygen for the human mind. In other words, reading helps people overcome boredom and hesitation, enrich the brain with useful information, and makes the mind calm and relaxed.
Finally, the difference between those who read and those who do not read is like the difference between a person who can see through only one window and a person who has a thousand eyes.
