A seminar on the Kurdish genocide at the 24th Session of the International Criminal Court in
The Hague, Netherlands
The KONCICC Network, in cooperation with several organisations specialising in combating
chemical attacks and genocide, is holding a special seminar entitled "The Effects of Genocide
and Chemical Attacks in Kurdistan" at the 24th Session of the International Criminal Court in
The Hague, Netherlands, in Yangtze 2 Hall. The seminar will take place from 8:30 to 9:45
AM on Wednesday, December 3, 2025.
KONCICC Network As part of ASP24 activities, a group of Kurdish writers and researchers
specialising in genocide and the use of chemical weapons participated.
Author & Genocide Researcher, Mr Jamal Majid Faraj, welcomed the attendees and
moderated the seminar.
Participants included:
Mr Salar Mahmood, Author & Genocide Researcher: (The Anfal genocide as one of the most
heinous crimes of the 20th century)
Mr Ayad Ismail Mahmammad, a volunteer lawyer specialising in genocide cases (attempts
by victims of the Halabja massacre to prosecute chemical weapons companies).
Mr Habil Ahmed, Director of the Anfal Museum and Memorial in Chamchamal: (How was
the Peshmerga Martyrs Museum established during the war against ISIS?)
Mr Dara Mohammed Ali Salih, a survivor of the Doubz military camp and the Nakra Salman
detention centre for Anfal residents: (This is how I returned from the two prisons of
genocide.)

Mr Luqman Abdulqadir, Head of the Chemical Weapons Victims Association in Halabja on

Congress of the International Criminal Court as part of ASP24 activities. Several lawyers,
writers, researchers, activists, and victims will participate.

Dara Muhammad Ali Salih, survivor of Dibs camp and Salman prison for Anfal victims: I
returned from two genocide prisons.
Luqman Abdulqadir, Chairman of the Halabja Chemical Weapons Victims Association: On
March 16, 1988, we died alive in the city of Halabja before the eyes of the world.
Habil Ahmad, Director of the Anfal Monument in Chamchamal: How the museum of
Peshmerga martyrs of the war against ISIS was established.
Sonia Sayda Isa, citizen of Shengal: What ISIS brought upon Yazidi girls and children in
Shengal.
A film about genocide and chemical weapons victims will also be screened.
For twenty years, volunteer activities on genocide have been presented at this venue, with
all expenses borne by the participants.
